Unlike animals, humans have the ability to make judgements and use their internal resource. Can you imagine an animal reacting to their intuition with disdain instead of attention? No animal in the wild suddenly overcome with fear would ever waste their time on thinking. Instead of being grateful for the possiblity that our minds might be working and trying to save us, we rush to ridicule the impulse. We in contrast to every other creature in nature choose not to explore and even ignore our survival signals. Why do we waste this powerful gift? To spare ones feelings? The mental energy we use searching for the innocent explanation could be better used to find information that could protect us from danger.
